Central Library
Although each faculty has its library, there is a central library located in a three story building inside the university.
The central library is named after the writer of Afghanistan, Allamah Habibi. The library contains 42,000 books, most of which are in English language but some in Pashto and Persian. The library has a study room. Due to a lack of rooms and shelves in the building, most of the books are still stored in boxes.

Famous quotes containing the words central and/or library:
“There has never been in history another such culture as the Western civilization M a culture which has practiced the belief that the physical and social environment of man is subject to rational manipulation and that history is subject to the will and action of man; whereas central to the traditional cultures of the rivals of Western civilization, those of Africa and Asia, is a belief that it is environment that dominates man.”
—Ishmael Reed (b. 1938)
“Our civilization has decided ... that determining the guilt or innocence of men is a thing too important to be trusted to trained men.... When it wants a library catalogued, or the solar system discovered, or any trifle of that kind, it uses up its specialists. But when it wishes anything done which is really serious, it collects twelve of the ordinary men standing round. The same thing was done, if I remember right, by the Founder of Christianity.”
—Gilbert Keith Chesterton (18741936)
