Administrative and Municipal Status
The city of Kamyshin serves as the administrative center of the district, although it is not administratively a part of it. Administratively, it is incorporated separately as a city of oblast significance. Municipally, Kamyshin is also separate from the district and is incorporated as Kamyshin Urban Okrug.
