Improvement Works
Kaminoge station is currently undergoing building works due for completion in March 2011. The new station design is by the architect Tadao Ando. "This project includes extension of the route and provision of barrier-free access. An ordinary road cuts across the station site, above the platforms. The idea of the proposal is to cover the various facilities of the station and bus stops located on both sides of the road with a single large roof. The objective is the rational consolidation of urban infrastructure through the integration of diverse transportation networks and the creation of a townscape around the station that will be the "face" presented to visitors by the district."

Famous quotes containing the words improvement and/or works:
“They act as if they supposed that to be very sanguine about the general improvement of mankind is a virtue that relieves them from taking trouble about any improvement in particular.”
—John Morley [1st Viscount Morley Of Blackburn] (18381923)
“Reason, the prized reality, the Law, is apprehended, now and then, for a serene and profound moment, amidst the hubbub of cares and works which have no direct bearing on it;Mis then lost, for months or years, and again found, for an interval, to be lost again. If we compute it in time, we may, in fifty years, have half a dozen reasonable hours.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
