Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (Tamil: காதலுக்கு மரியாதை) (English: Respect for Love) is a 1997 Tamil romance film directed by Fazil. It starred Vijay and Shalini in the lead roles with Sivakumar, Srividya and Manivannan playing other supporting roles. The film which was released on December 1997 opened to highly positive reviews from both critics and audiences and became a blockbuster. With which Vijay went on to win his first Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor. The movie ran for 250 days in screens of Tamil Nadu.
