Kadamba Transport Corporation - Fleet

Fleet

As of 2012, KTC has a fleet of 415 buses. According to its 2005 citizen's charter, it operated 87,690 kilometres per day, but concedes that it is "unable to meet the entire demand of public transport". It stated that the liberalisation policy and the amendment in the Indian Motor Vehicles Act 1988 together with the "increasing input cost in terms of material and labour" has had a "direct impact" on the KTC's cost of operation.

Famous quotes containing the word fleet:

On the middle of that quiet floor
sits a fleet of small black ships,
    square-rigged, sails furled, motionless,
    their spars like burned matchsticks.
    Elizabeth Bishop (1911–1979)

Believe me, if all those endearing young charms,
Which I gaze on so fondly today,
Were to change by tomorrow, and fleet in my arms,
    Like fairy-gifts fading away.
    Thomas Moore (1779–1852)

They ... fleet the time carelessly, as they did in the golden world.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
