Student Bodies

Students at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering are given a chance to showcase their leadership and team work skills through a variety of student bodies, both technical and non-technical. These student bodies regularly conduct events, workshops, seminars and different activities to keep students motivated even outside the classroom. A number of these bodies have student councils which manage the working of the association. A new council is selected every year for all these bodies. The college also has professional affiliations to national and international associations such as IEEE, CSI, ISTE and SAE.

Famous quotes containing the words student and/or bodies:

The student may read Homer or Æschylus in the Greek without danger of dissipation or luxuriousness, for it implies that he in some measure emulate their heroes, and consecrate morning hours to their pages.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

What is wanted—whether this is admitted or not—is nothing less than a fundamental remolding, indeed weakening and abolition of the individual: one never tires of enumerating and indicting all that is evil and inimical, prodigal, costly, extravagant in the form individual existence has assumed hitherto, one hopes to manage more cheaply, more safely, more equitably, more uniformly if there exist only large bodies and their members.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)
