Juturna (album) - Allusions

Allusions

  • Several songs on the album were inspired by the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. "Oh Hello" and "In Fear and Faith" detail scenes from the film. "Meet Me in Montauk" is a reference to a line from the movie, as well as a line from a writing by Alexander Pope, for which the movie was named. The title "Wish Resign" is also an allusion to the same Pope quotation seen in the film.
  • "The Glorious Nosebleed" is a short story by Edward Gorey.
