Justine Jones - Creation and Casting

Creation and Casting

It was announced in September 2005 that Home and Away star, Laurie Foell would be arriving to the show as a rival of Chris' in a short term stint. She returned the following year as part of the McKay family unit, with husband Callum McKay and children; Hunter and Sophie, arriving soon after. In late 2006 Foell dropped out of the role and producers considered writing Justine out. As the character still had many storylines, producers decided to recast the character, with Lucy Wigmore assuming the role. Lucy Wigmore quit the role in 2008 to travel overseas. It was announced in July 2009 that Justine would be returning in a guest role to finish off her storyline. The episodes received huge ratings, becoming the shows second highest ever ratings at that period.

Famous quotes containing the words creation and, creation and/or casting:

For me, the principal fact of life is the free mind. For good and evil, man is a free creative spirit. This produces the very queer world we live in, a world in continuous creation and therefore continuous change and insecurity. A perpetually new and lively world, but a dangerous one, full of tragedy and injustice. A world in everlasting conflict between the new idea and the old allegiances, new arts and new inventions against the old establishment.
    Joyce Cary (1888–1957)

The creation of “strong-minded” women, so-called, is due to the individualism of men, to the modern selfish and speculative spirit which absorbs everything within itself and leaves women nothing but self-assertion for their protection and support.
“Jennie June” Croly 1829–1901, U.S. founder of the woman’s club movement, journalist, author, editor. Demorest’s Illustrated Monthly and Mirror of Fashions, p. 44 (February 1870)

This I do know and can say to you: Our country is in more danger now than at any time since the Declaration of Independence. We don’t dare follow the Lindberghs, Wheelers and Nyes, casting suspicion, sowing discord around the leadership of Franklin D. Roosevelt. We don’t want revolution among ourselves.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)
