Jules Lederer was an American business executive and innovator. He dropped out of school in 10th grade, having to work from the time he was 13 to support his family.
In the 1950s, Lederer was president of the Autopoint Company in Chicago; later he became a co-founder of Budget Rent a Car, now a unit of Cendant.
Lederer was married to Eppie Lederer, who was better known as the syndicated columnist, "Ann Landers." They had one child, a daughter, Margo Howard (ex-wife of actor Ken Howard), before divorcing.
