Modern Dialects
Modern Jewish Aramaic languages are still known by their geographical location before the return to Israel.
These include:
- Lishana Deni – originally spoken around Zakho in Iraq.
- Lishan Didan – originally spoken in Iranian Azerbaijan.
- Lishanid Noshan – originally spoken around Arbil in Iraq.
