Joseph Zen

Joseph Zen Ze-kiun, S.D.B. (Chinese: 陳日君樞機, born 13 January 1932) is a Chinese Cardinal of the Catholic Church, who served as the sixth Bishop of Hong Kong. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 2006, and is famous for his outspokenness on issues regarding human rights, political freedom, and religious liberty, often attracting criticism from the Communist Party of China. He retired from his bishopric on 15 April 2009.
