Jose Tomas Sanchez (March 17, 1920 – March 9, 2012) was a Roman Catholic Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for the Clergy and Cardinal Priest from the Philippines. He was also an Archbishop of Nueva Segovia before entering the Roman Curia. He was born in Pandan town in the island-province of Catanduanes and attended the Holy Rosary Seminary (then named Seminario del Santissimo Rosario) in Naga City, and afterwards obtained his doctorate in theology at the University of Santo Tomas of Manila. He was ordained a priest on 12 May 1946.
He died on March 9, 2012.
