Joint Task Force National Capital Region/Medical
The Joint Task Force National Capital Region Medical (JTF CapMed), located on the Naval Support Activity Bethesda campus in Bethesda, Maryland, also known as the JTF CapMed headquarters, was established by the Deputy Secretary of Defense, Gordon R. England, as a fully functional Standing Joint Task Force with authority to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of military healthcare within the National Capital Region (NCR).
National Capital Region Medical is the premier health care system serving the unique needs of our Wounded, Ill and Injured, Active Duty, retired Service members and their families. It is the Military’s first Integrated Health Care Delivery System (IDS) serving all of the patients in the NCR. It provides the world’s best care and rehabilitation for our nation’s most severely injured Warriors. Our number one priority is care for our Wounded Warriors and their family members. With new and enhanced infrastructure, new technologies, best clinical and business practices, we will meet the congressional mandate for world-class care. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) and Fort Belvoie Community Hospital (FBCH) have proud traditions based on those of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) and the DeWitt Army Community Hospital (DACH).

Famous quotes containing the words joint, task, force, national, capital, region and/or medical:
“No Government can be long secure without a formidable Opposition. It reduces their supporters to that tractable number which can be managed by the joint influences of fruition and hope. It offers vengeance to the discontented, and distinction to the ambitious; and employs the energies of aspiring spirits, who otherwise may prove traitors in a division or assassins in a debate.”
—Benjamin Disraeli (18041881)
“The task of the artist at any time is uncompromisingly simpleto discover what has not yet been done, and to do it.”
—Craig Raine (b. 1944)
“The difference between a photograph and even the most realistic paintingsay, one of Courbets landscapesis that in the latter there has been selection, emphasis and some discreet distortion. The painters deep instinctive feeling for mass and force has rearranged everything.”
—Gerald Branan (18941987)
“The cinema is going to form the mind of England. The national conscience, the national ideals and tests of conduct, will be those of the film.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“We saw the machinery where murderers are now executed. Seven have been executed. The plan is better than the old one. It is quietly done. Only a few, at the most about thirty or forty, can witness [an execution]. It excites nobody outside of the list permitted to attend. I think the time for capital punishment has passed. I would abolish it. But while it lasts this is the best mode.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
“Myth is the hidden part of every story, the buried part, the region that is still unexplored because there are as yet no words to enable us to get there.... Myth is nourished by silence as well as by words.”
—Italo Calvino (19231985)
“Often, we expect too much [from a nanny]. We want someone like ourselvesbright, witty, responsible, loving, imaginative, patient, well-mannered, and cheerful. Also, we want her to be smart, but not so smart that shes going to get bored in two months and leave us to go to medical school.”
—Louise Lague (20th century)
