Current Developments
Traffic interchanges at Jalan Sultan Ibrahim and Jalan Lumba Kuda are being upgraded to multi-level interchanges in anticipation for the new customs and immigration complex of Southern International Gateway. This project is expected to divert all inbound and outbound traffic to Singapore away from the CBD. The new flyover on Tebrau Highway Interchange near hockey stadium has been constructed during the mid of 2006 and has now fully operational to the public on 15 December 2007.

Famous quotes containing the words current and/or developments:
“But there, where I have garnered up my heart,
Where either I must live or bear no life;
The fountain from the which my current runs
Or else dries up: to be discarded thence,
Or keep it as a cistern for foul toads
To knot and gender in!”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“The developments in the North were those loosely embraced in the term modernization and included urbanization, industrialization, and mechanization. While those changes went forward apace, the antebellum South changed comparatively little, clinging to its rural, agricultural, labor-intensive economy and its traditional folk culture.”
—C. Vann Woodward (b. 1908)
