Return To Broadcasting
Several weeks following the end of his political career Tory announced that he was returning to his first love, broadcasting, to host a Sunday evening phone-in show on Toronto talk radio station CFRB. The John Tory Show simulcast on CHAM in Hamilton and CKTB in St. Catharines. He is also looking for opportunities in business, law or the non-profit sector.
In the fall of 2009, CFRB moved Tory to its Monday to Friday afternoon slot, for a new show, Live Drive, which now airs from 4pm to 7pm. The show first broadcast on October 5, 2009.

Famous quotes containing the words return to, return and/or broadcasting:
“I find very reasonable the Celtic belief that the souls of our dearly departed are trapped in some inferior being, in an animal, a plant, an inanimate object, indeed lost to us until the day, which for some never arrives, when we find that we pass near the tree, or come to possess the object which is their prison. Then they quiver, call us, and as soon as we have recognized them, the spell is broken. Freed by us, they have vanquished death and return to live with us.”
—Marcel Proust (1871–1922)
“Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they? Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”
—Bible: New Testament, Luke 17:17,18.
Jesus, after healing ten lepers.
“We spend all day broadcasting on the radio and TV telling people back home what’s happening here. And we learn what’s happening here by spending all day monitoring the radio and TV broadcasts from back home.”
—P.J. (Patrick Jake)
