John Stocco (born June 14, 1983 in Richfield, Minnesota) is a former collegiate American football quarterback. Stocco played football for the University of Wisconsin–Madison, starting at quarterback for the Badgers during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He was not drafted in the 2007 NFL Draft.
He is now a teacher in Chicago at one of the best high schools in Chicago.He a football coach there and is a P.E teacher for 10th grade he also has a advisory at the charter school an is a great role model for the schools football player
In high school, Stocco teamed with Marcus Fitzgerald Brother of Larry Fitzgerald at the Academy of Holy Angels in Minnesota. Out of high school, he was drafted in the 45th round by the Major League Baseball team the Minnesota Twins, but decided to go to school instead. "Had I been drafted higher, it might have been a tougher decision," he said in a 2003 ESPN online chat session. He was recruited by other Big Ten teams such as Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Penn State, Ohio State, Northwestern, and Michigan State. Stocco eventually settled on Wisconsin.
