Career

Haught established the Georgetown Center for the Study of Science and Religion. He was the chair of Georgetown's theology department between 1990 and 1995. An evolutionary creationist, Haught views science and religion as two different and noncompeting levels of explanation, asserting "Science and religion cannot logically stand in a competitive relationship with each other."

Famous quotes containing the word career:

My ambition in life: to become successful enough to resume my career as a neurasthenic.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)

Whether lawyer, politician or executive, the American who knows what’s good for his career seeks an institutional rather than an individual identity. He becomes the man from NBC or IBM. The institutional imprint furnishes him with pension, meaning, proofs of existence. A man without a company name is a man without a country.
    Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)

I’ve been in the twilight of my career longer than most people have had their career.
    Martina Navratilova (b. 1956)
