John Dawes

John Dawes

Sydney John Dawes OBE (born 29 June 1940 in Chapel of Ease, part of Abercarn near Newbridge, South Wales) is a former Welsh rugby union player, playing at centre, and later coach. He captained London Welsh, Wales, the Barbarians and the British Lions. He was made an OBE in the 1972 New Years Honours List for services to sport.
