John Chick

John Chick (born November 20, 1982 in Gillette, Wyoming) is a gridiron football defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League.

He was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Utah State. He spent 2008–2009 with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. Chick was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2009, earning him a contract with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts in January 2010. On September 5, 2010, the Colts delegated Chick to the practice squad. He was waived a year later during final cuts and was signed to the Jaguars' practice squad. One day after signing with the Jaguars, Chick was promoted to the active roster when David Garrard was released. He had his first sack against Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals on October 9, 2011.

Chick spent the first six games of the 2012 season on the physically unable to perform list. He was promoted to the active roster on October 27, 2012.
