John-Paul Lavoisier - Personal Life

Personal Life

He was born John-Paul Seponski in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and attended Phoenixville High School, before going on to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he studied music performance, particularly the drums.

His hobbies include tennis, skiing, golf and magic tricks. He dislikes running and the suburbs, and claims to be anally retentive. For ABC's Fan February events in 2007, he switched jobs with a fan who is a dance teacher.

Since 2008, Lavoisier has dated One Life to Live costar Farah Fath, who played his on-screen wife, Gigi Morasco, until the show ended its 44-year run in January of 2012.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

Oh, what a catastrophe for man when he cut himself off from the rhythm of the year, from his unison with the sun and the earth. Oh, what a catastrophe, what a maiming of love when it was a personal, merely personal feeling, taken away from the rising and the setting of the sun, and cut off from the magic connection of the solstice and the equinox!
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

Our life is a faint tracing on the surface of mystery, like the idle, curved tunnels of leaf miners on the face of a leaf. We must somehow take a wider view, look at the whole landscape, really see it, and describe what’s going on here. Then we can at least wail the right question into the swaddling band of darkness, or, if it comes to that, choir the proper praise.
    Annie Dillard (b. 1945)
