Joe Budden - Personal Life

Personal Life

Joe Budden has been in a number of high-profile relationships, publicized by the media, in his lyrics, and on Twitter. He was involved in a long-time relationship with video model Esther Baxter; their break up was detailed in Budden's freely released song "Ordinary Love Shit Pt. 3 (Closure)". In this song he accuses Baxter—while pregnant with hers and Budden's child—of cheating on him with NFL runningback Derrick Ward. Statements by Baxter made in an interview claim that Budden abused her and caused her to miscarry. She also claims that while they were dating, Budden was inappropriately flirtatious with women on Twitter.

Budden has a son from a previous relationship. In 2010, he was wanted by New Jersey police in relation to unpaid child support payments.

In early 2012, Joe Budden announced that he was dating someone. However, it wasn't until August 2012 that he revealed his relationship with Kaylin Garcia publicly.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

The dialectic between change and continuity is a painful but deeply instructive one, in personal life as in the life of a people. To “see the light” too often has meant rejecting the treasures found in darkness.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)

Oh, what a catastrophe for man when he cut himself off from the rhythm of the year, from his unison with the sun and the earth. Oh, what a catastrophe, what a maiming of love when it was a personal, merely personal feeling, taken away from the rising and the setting of the sun, and cut off from the magic connection of the solstice and the equinox!
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

To divide one’s life by years is of course to tumble into a trap set by our own arithmetic. The calendar consents to carry on its dull wall-existence by the arbitrary timetables we have drawn up in consultation with those permanent commuters, Earth and Sun. But we, unlike trees, need grow no annual rings.
    Clifton Fadiman (b. 1904)
