James "Jim" Archibald Atkinson (4 April 1896 – 11 June 1956) was an Australian rules footballer and first class cricketer.
Atkinson played his football with Fitzroy in the VFL. He was a defender and in 1922 was a member of Fitzroy's premiership winning side as well as winning their Club Champion award. Atkinson was club captain in 1924 and 1925. He finished his footballing career in Tasmania with Lefroy and represented the state at interstate football. His cricket was played between 1921/22 and 1933/34, playing 26 games in total for both Victoria and Tasmania with two centuries.
