The incumbent MLA from Jeypore Assembly Constituency is Mr. Rabi Narayan Nanda who has retained the seat for 3 successive terms starting from the assembly elections in 2000.Recently Mr. Nanda has been made a minister of School and education in Naveen Patnaik's BJD government Previous MLAs from this seat include Mr. Raghunath Patnaik of INC who won this seat in 1995, 1990, 1980 (as INC (I) candidate) and in 1977, and Gupta Prasad Das of INC who won in 1985.
