Famous quotes containing the words college and/or career:

    When first the college rolls receive his name,
    The young enthusiast quilts his ease for fame;
    Through all his veins the fever of renown
    Burns from the strong contagion of the gown;
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)

Some major form of recognition seems to have to mark a woman’s career for her to be able to go out on a limb without having her credentials questioned.
    Ruth Behar (b. 1956)
