Like his older brother Jason, Jeremy Giambi attended South Hills High School, Sierra Vista Middle School in Covina, California, and Covina Elementary School in Covina, California. He attended Cal State Fullerton and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 6th round of the 1996 amateur draft.
