Other Artistic Endeavors

Jacques is a member of Dayfree Press, an online webcomic syndicate which includes other artists such as Christian Fundin and Pontus Madsen of Little Gamers, Sam Logan of Sam and Fuzzy, and Ryan North of Dinosaur Comics.

Jacques launched "indietits" as an anonymous side project on April 1, 2005 to use ideas that did not fit into Questionable Content's setting. Compared to Questionable Content, it is a simple strip, eschewing detailed art and linear storyline in favour of reusable pre-drawn panels and one-shot jokes. To further broaden his drawing limits, Jeph created Jephdraw to place unnamed drawings of his onto the Internet. He puts anything from favored panels to simple sketches for others to see what he does in his spare time. However, both Jephdraw and indietits seem to be on a hiatus, as the most recent posts are from 2006 and 2007, respectively.

Famous quotes containing the words artistic and/or endeavors:

[The pleasures of writing] correspond exactly to the pleasures of reading, the bliss, the felicity of a phrase is shared by writer and reader: by the satisfied writer and the grateful reader, or—which is the same thing—by the artist grateful to the unknown force in his mind that has suggested a combination of images and by the artistic reader whom his combination satisfies.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)

John Brown and Giuseppe Garibaldi were contemporaries not solely in the matter of time; their endeavors as liberators link their names where other likeness is absent; and the peaks of their careers were reached almost simultaneously: the Harper’s Ferry Raid occurred in 1859, the raid on Sicily in the following year. Both events, however differing in character, were equally quixotic.
    John Cournos (1881–1956)
