Films and Soundtracks
In 2002 Coleman starred in a Czech film by Petr Zelenka Rok ďábla (Year of the Devil). The film has become a multiple award-winning cult classic (Crystal Globe, Czech Lion). Switching to yet another artistic role, he has been co-directing a documentary-style music film called "The Death And Resurrection Show", named after a song on Killing Joke's 2003 album.
Coleman has contributed to several film soundtracks, such as Walt Disney’s Mulan (1998; with Vanessa-Mae on violin) and UK Channel 4 TV film Cinderella (released on 01/01/2000; music composed by Jaz and Youth). Individual songs appeared in soundtracks like: Weird Science (1985; "Eighties" by Killing Joke), Showgirls (1995; "Hollywood Babylon" by Killing Joke) or Year of the Devil (2002; "Pukaea" by Jaz Coleman and Hinewehi Mohi, "Universe B" and "Exorcism" by Killing Joke).

Famous quotes containing the word films:
“Television does not dominate or insist, as movies do. It is not sensational, but taken for granted. Insistence would destroy it, for its message is so dire that it relies on being the background drone that counters silence. For most of us, it is something turned on and off as we would the light. It is a service, not a luxury or a thing of choice.”
