Career
She is most famous for her role as fun-loving nurse, turned Ward Sister, Donna Jackson in the BBC medical drama series Holby City from 2004 to 2011. She also played the role of Alice in a spin-off of BBC soap opera EastEnders, "Perfectly Frank", in 2003.
In 2011, it was announced Jacobs had joined the cast of BBC drama Waterloo Road as new deputy head and science teacher, Sian Diamond in the seventh series. Following the drama's relocation to Greenock in Scotland, Jacobs has also made the move up north, and has continue to appear in the role throughout the eighth series, from August 2012, however, she is departing the drama series during the spring term.
