Jason Williams (rugby League Born 1981) - Playing Career

Playing Career

Williams signed with the Cronulla Sharks in 2004. However he was charged with an assault on team-mate Jeremy Smith, who was left with a fractured cheekbone, and sentenced to two years jail at the Sutherland Local Court. Williams was released after just over three months due to good behavior and decided to take up boxing.

However Canberra Raiders general manager Don Furner offered him a contract and Williams ended up playing two seasons for the Raiders between 2005 and 2006.

Williams then joined the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Queensland Cup for the 2007 for the 2008 seasons. At the time the Seagulls were a feeder club to the Brisbane Broncos.

Famous quotes containing the words playing and/or career:

Playing “bop” is like playing Scrabble with all the vowels missing.
    Duke Ellington (1899–1974)

What exacerbates the strain in the working class is the absence of money to pay for services they need, economic insecurity, poor daycare, and lack of dignity and boredom in each partner’s job. What exacerbates it in upper-middle class is the instability of paid help and the enormous demands of the career system in which both partners become willing believers. But the tug between traditional and egalitarian models of marriage runs from top to bottom of the class ladder.
    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)
