Jane Campion

Jane Campion (born Elizabeth Jane Campion; 30 April 1954) is a New Zealand screenwriter, producer, and director based out of Australia. Campion is the second of four women ever nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director and is also the first female filmmaker in history to receive the Palme d'Or for directing the acclaimed film The Piano (1993).
