Magnussen's oldest son, Kevin Magnussen is also a racing driver, who is currently driving in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series. He is currently signed to McLaren's Young Driver Programme, and will take part in the German F3 championship in 2010. Kevin made a guest appearance in the F3 EuroSeries and won the second of the two races at Valencia.
