Famous quotes containing the word charity:
“The appalling thing is the degree of charity women are capable of. You see it all the time ... love lavished on absolute fools. Loves a charity ward, you know.”
—Lawrence Durrell (19121990)
“Having levelled my palace, dont erect a hovel and complacently admire your own charity in giving me that for a home.”
