Jamie's parents and all of her siblings have first names beginning with the letter "J".
She comes from a family of 7 children, many of whom have also participated in gymnastics. Her younger twin sisters Janelle & Jalynne also competed on the UCLA gymnastics team. Jalynne competed with the Bruins for one season, before retiring from gymnastics due to a recurring injury.
Dantzscher is a Latter-day Saint.
She is the sister-in-law of San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford.
