James Duff (writer)

James Duff (born September 3, 1955) is an American television writer, producer and director. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and has written plays and television screenplays. He is credited as the creator of the TV series The Closer.

When asked about NBC's decision to air The Jay Leno Show five nights per week at 10/9c, Duff replied: "I'm wondering if NBC is publicly transforming itself into AM radio. I thought they were in a coma, so it's a good sign ... They're actively participating in their own demise."
