Main Sights
Jaca is home to medieval walls and towers surrounding an 11th century Romanesque cathedral.
The citadel, a fortification dating to the late 16th century, is home to a colony of Rock Sparrows.
The Diocesan Museum of Jaca (Museum of Medieval Sacred Art) protects Romanesque and Gothic frescoes from some of the most remote locations in the district of Jaca, unsuspected until the first one was discovered in the Church of UrriƩs, in 1962, where it had been hidden and protected by the painted and gilded retable, or altarpiece.

Famous quotes containing the words main and/or sights:
“... the main concern of the fiction writer is with mystery as it is incarnated in human life.”
—Flannery OConnor (19251964)
“Television hangs on the questionable theory that whatever happens anywhere should be sensed everywhere. If everyone is going to be able to see everything, in the long run all sights may lose whatever rarity value they once possessed, and it may well turn out that people, being able to see and hear practically everything, will be specially interested in almost nothing.”
—E.B. (Elwyn Brooks)
