His son, Scott Putski, is also a professional wrestler. He had some success in both the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling. From 2002 to 2006 Putski worked as head security guard at Jack C. Hays High School in Buda, TX. His granddaughter is professional wrestler Rachel Summerlyn.
On January 8, 2012, Ivan Putski will be Inducted Into the Cloverleaf Radio Hall of Fame, Class of 2012.
