ITV Nightly News Return
In 2 February 2004, ITV Nightly News was finally cancelled, and in another revamp, ITV News introduced a new newscast, the ITV News at Ten Thirty, presented by Trevor McDonald. In 15 December 2005, Trevor McDonald retired as head-anchor at ITN, being replaced by Mark Austin, who later presented the programme. However, in 16 January 2006, when ITV revamped its identity, ITV News at Ten Thirty was supposed to be relaunched as the new ITV Nightly News. However, no such thing ever happened, with the programme either being advertised as ITV News at 10.30 (on the programme), or simply ITV News (in listings).
This never occurred, as the ITV News at 10.30 ended on 13 January 2008.
