The song is featured in the 1998 film Can't Hardly Wait, the 2000 film Road Trip, the 2002 film The Hot Chick, the 2003 film Malibu's Most Wanted, the 2004 film White Chicks, the 2004 film Friday Night Lights, the 2010 film The Bounty Hunter and the 2011 film Jack and Jill. Many TV shows have used it as well, including Family Guy, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Glee, One Tree Hill and American Idol.
The video game SSX Tricky takes its name from the song, using the K-Rec remix as its theme music. When players land big tricks, the game plays a sample from the song. A different, dubstep-based remix by Colorado based producer Pretty Lights appears in the 2012 SSX series reboot.
Many arenas play the song in the NHL from the first chorus onward when a player scores a hat trick.
