Khakwani started playing polo in 1975 and actively played nationally and internationally till 2002.Is presently serving as FIP(Federation International Polo )Ambassador. Has also managed sports organizations in Pakistan in Honorary positions i.e. Pakistan Hockey, Pakistan Polo, Pakistan Athletics
