Famous quotes containing the word books:

Writers ought to be regarded as wrongdoers who deserve to be acquitted or pardoned only in the rarest cases: that would be a way to keep books from getting out of hand.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

It is easy to lose confidence in our natural ability to raise children. The true techniques for raising children are simple: Be with them, play with them, talk to them. Neil Kurshan (20th century)

It is not all books that are as dull as their readers.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
