Iran Focus is a news website which identifies itself as a "non-profit news service provider that focuses on events in Iran, Iraq, and the Middle East."
Originally Iran Focus was a politically independent monthly hard copy newsletter on contemporary Iran that was started in October 1988 by the UK-based consultancy firm Menas Associates (www.menas.co.uk) When it was discovered that the Iranian opposition MKO had created the Iran Focus website, and in order to end any confusion, Menas ceased production in July 2005 and merged its monthly Iran Focus and fortnightly Iran Energy Focus into a new electronic monthly called Iran Strategic Focus which is only available by universal corporate subscription and includes the Iranian Oil Sector Organisational Charts and Tables, plus a Project Tracker database, which are also updated each month. For further details see http://www.menas.co.uk/iran_strategic_focus/ or contact marketing@menas.co.uk

Famous quotes containing the words iran and/or focus:
“During my administration the most unpleasant and perhaps most dramatic negotiations in which we participated were with the various leaders of Iran after the seizure of American hostages in November 1979. The Algerians were finally chosen as the only intermediaries who were considered trustworthy both by me and the Ayatollah Khomeini. After many aborted efforts, final success was achieved during my last few hours in the White House.”
—Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)
“I dont have any doubts that there will be a place for progressive white people in this country in the future. I think the paranoia common among white people is very unfounded. I have always organized my life so that I could focus on political work. Thats all I want to do, and thats all that makes me happy.”
—Hettie V., South African white anti-apartheid activist and feminist. As quoted in Lives of Courage, ch. 21, by Diana E. H. Russell (1989)
