Route Description
Iowa Highway 192 goes north on the South Expressway from Interstates 29 and 80 and after crossing a bridge which crosses over several railroad tracks, splits into a two way pair of one way streets. Northbound Iowa 192 is 6th Street and southbound Iowa 192 is 7th Street. When Iowa 192 meets U.S. Route 6, which runs on Broadway and Kanesville Road through Council Bluffs, it turns west with US 6 until it meets 16th Street. It then turns north and goes north until it merges into northbound Interstate 29. The segment it shares with US 6 and the 16th Street segment are both 4 lane divided highways.
There is no direct access from the north terminus of Iowa 192 to southbound I-29. Also, if one is driving south on I-29 and wishes to exit onto Iowa 192, one must make a left exit.

Famous quotes containing the words route and/or description:
“By a route obscure and lonely,
Haunted by ill angels only,
Where an eidolon, named Night,
On a black throne reigns upright,
I have reached these lands but newly
From an ultimate dim Thule
From a wild weird clime that lieth, sublime,
Out of spaceout of time.”
—Edgar Allan Poe (18091849)
“The great object in life is Sensationto feel that we exist, even though in pain; it is this craving void which drives us to gaming, to battle, to travel, to intemperate but keenly felt pursuits of every description whose principal attraction is the agitation inseparable from their accomplishment.”
—George Gordon Noel Byron (17881824)
