Invariance Mechanics - Feynman Rules

Feynman Rules

The Feynman rules of a quantum system can be rewritten in terms of invariant quantities (plus constants such as mass, charge, etc.) The invariant quantities depend on the type of particle, scalar, vector or spinor. The rules often involve geometric quantities such as the volumes of simplices formed from vertices of the Feynman graphs.

If that’s the world’s smartest man, God help us.
—Lucille Feynman, mother of American physicist Richard Feynman (1918-1988)

The duce of any other rule have I to govern myself by in this affair—and if I had one ... I would twist it and tear it to pieces, and throw it into the fire when I had done—Am I warm? I am, and the cause demands it—a pretty story! is a man to follow rules—or rules to follow him?
    Laurence Sterne (1713–1768)
