World Soil Information, established in 1964 is an independent foundation with a global mandate, funded by the Netherlands Government, and with a strategic association with Wageningen University and Research Centre. Our aims:
- To inform and educate - through the World Soil Museum, public information, discussion and publication
- To serve the scientific community as custodian of global soil information as ICSU World Data Centre for Soils
- To undertake applied research on land and water resources
