Curriculum
ISD follows the same curriculum that most schools in the United States use. Instruction is in English. French is offered once per day for all grades, and there are four levels in which the students progress. Middle school is partially integrated, with a daily community meeting time. Preschool is for three and four year olds and is a half day program only. ISD is committed to quality education and an international environment, provides specialized training for English as a second language students as well as a special needs program. ISD is accredited by the Middle School Association of Colleges and Schools and the Council of International Schools

Famous quotes containing the word curriculum:
“If we focus exclusively on teaching our children to read, write, spell, and count in their first years of life, we turn our homes into extensions of school and turn bringing up a child into an exercise in curriculum development. We should be parents first and teachers of academic skills second.”
—Neil Kurshan (20th century)
