Communal Socialism

Members of the Peace Mission were encourage to pool their individual resources together and invest in businesses, the profits of which were to be dived up and shared. During the 1930s, these properties and businesses were quit numerous. Peace Mission businesses included the Devine Lorraine and Divine Tracy Hotels, farmlands in upstate New York and garages.
