Playing Area
International game is played on a rectangular, flat surface (grass), 60 m long and 20 m wide (15 m at the "service" end). The endings of this rectangle are the "service" and the "receive" lines. In the "service" field there is a 8x6 m area, that's the "service box".

Famous quotes containing the words playing and/or area:
“Reason is a faculty far larger than mere objective force. When either the political or the scientific discourse announces itself as the voice of reason, it is playing God, and should be spanked and stood in the corner.”
—Ursula K. Le Guin (b. 1929)
“... nothing is more human than substituting the quantity of words and actions for their character. But using imprecise words is very similar to using lots of words, for the more imprecise a word is, the greater the area it covers.”
—Robert Musil (1880–1942)
