The International Anglican-Roman Catholic Commission for Unity and Mission is a joint group between the Roman Catholic and Anglican Churches to discuss areas of common concern.
The first meeting took place from 20 November-24 November 2001.
The meeting began at Lambeth Palace until the participants travelled to Rome to continue and complete the session. In London they were greeted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey. When the group was in Rome they met with Pope John Paul II.

“Man is eminently a storyteller. His search for a purpose, a cause, an ideal, a mission and the like is largely a search for a plot and a pattern in the development of his life storya story that is basically without meaning or pattern.”
—Eric Hoffer (19021983)
