Extracurricular Activities

All of the IAM's Division I MHSAA sports teams are known as the Lady Leopards. A notable sport that the IAM offers is girls football. They will be entering their third year in the 2013-14 season still looking for their first victory. Their rivalry with UAIS is unmatchable, and their first ever meeting resulted in many tears shed.

The IAM also features many variates clubs. These consist of soccer club, floor hockey club, basketball club, chess club, euchre club, anime club, blender club, key club, French club, and Spanish club.

Baseball club began in 2011 but most recently folded in 2012 after just over a year due to the dispersion of the inaugural senior class who graduated in spring 2012. Every once in a while, the original members gather up the bats and balls and revive the club, reliving the glory days back in summer '11. Rumor has it that the gang plans to regroup in May 2013 for another trip around the bases.

Famous quotes containing the word activities:

Both gossip and joking are intrinsically valuable activities. Both are essentially social activities that strengthen interpersonal bonds—we do not tell jokes and gossip to ourselves. As popular activities that evade social restrictions, they often refer to topics that are inaccessible to serious public discussion. Gossip and joking often appear together: when we gossip we usually tell jokes and when we are joking we often gossip as well.
Aaron Ben-Ze’Ev, Israeli philosopher. “The Vindication of Gossip,” Good Gossip, University Press of Kansas (1994)
