Industrial Design Centre - Work Environment

Work Environment

IDC has an informal work culture. The work load is heavy but this is balanced by a very open and relaxed atmosphere. Having a very good student-teacher ratio (around 5:1) ensures a great deal of personal interaction. Regular presentations are held of all student projects with participation of faculty, students and external examiners to check on the progress and to get feedback. The Institute is fully net worked with internet connectivity both at classrooms as well as hostel rooms.

Famous quotes containing the words work and/or environment:

A work which is not here: a covenant
‘Twill be between us; but, whatever fate
Befal thee, I shall love thee to the last,
And bear thy memory with me to the grave.”
    William Wordsworth (1770–1850)

The poorest children in a community now find the beneficent kindergarten open to them from the age of two-and-a-half to six years. Too young heretofore to be eligible to any public school, they have acquired in their babyhood the vicious tendencies of their own depraved neighborhoods; and to their environment at that tender age had been due the loss of decency and self-respect that no after example of education has been able to restore to them.
    Virginia Thrall Smith (1836–1903)
